Tottenham have completed loan signing of Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

The Frenchman has joined Antonio Conte's men for a season after personal terms were agreed and loan fee thrashed out..

Lenglet had come to the attention of Spurs in recent weeks as they searched for a new centre back to provide competition for Ben Davies and Eric Dier. He was not originally on the list but after the club hit a brick wall with Inter's Bastoni they widened the search and the prospect of a loan deal appealed..

Antonio Conte will be happy the deal got over the line to enable him to have his full squad on tour.. He is looking at least four more additions with Djed Spence, Adama Traore and another centre back on the list.

Lenglet made 158 appearances for Barcelona in his four seasons with the club. Tottenham will hope he can hit the ground running and slot into the left centre back position.
